Labs can be engaging and just as informative with hands on experience at home as they can be in person. Online learning gives students access to resources they might not have otherwise.

Students that do not have time management skills with find self-paced courses very challenging. Enrolling in this type of course requires self-discipline and motivation. Virtual labs are a replacement for in person labs.

Students and professors can both feel isolated. Reaching out through the student lounge and discussion boards in important to help students feel supported and part of a community.

The discussion boards allow for students to interact with one another even if they are in an asynchronous class. Posting videos and memes in the announcements help to students feel they are not in a void. They are supported and here is a human just a call or email away.
