I really love the emphasis on safety as we cannot take this too seriously the websites shared and videos were very helpful and useful.

I was very grateful to find the website for PBIS so I can develop options for intervening in inappropriate behaviors.

I really liked the information about advisory councils and link to information about a book to purchase to assist in learning more about this area of responsibility/

When establishing and enforcing rules and boundaries with students, I have found "Polite but firm" a good mantra.  You must have and enforce rules so you must be clear about expectations, always remaining a calm force within the classroom. Politely interact with student but be firm about student use of routines, rules and classroom procedures. Follow your schools code of conduct and do not show favorites which can be very difficult but a must. This seems easy but can actually be quite difficult.

Separation of presonal and personal life jumped out at me. This is extremely important in the digital age. The video really brought the point home. This is alot of information for a new teacher to process.

I have learned a great deal! I have really enjoyed seeing how other states have implemented Programs of Study ans some of the resources they have develooped to assist teachers in developing excellent CTE programs. ACTE's self assessment tool will be most helpful.
