I learned the importance of connecting with students is through trust, expertise, confidence, relatability, and respect.

Think of creative ways to keep the class engage. Don't just lecture. Incorporate different learning styles into teaching.

Creating moments in the learning process to find a connection with students and to make learning fun.

Students will enter the classroom with their own personal experiences. My goal is to create a learning environment that can feel included while teaching the objectives.

Using a variety of teaching styles will address the different learning styles of students.

This module reinforced my first day objectives. For example:

• identifying student by name
• finding out why they choose this career path
• what they hope to learn

Being prepared and organized helps to create a conducive learning environment.

I learned how important it is to a professional role model, manager, and motivator. This course is a great reminder that students are looking for teachers who care about them and inspire them to be an avid learner.
