I like to use jokes to keep people engaged. 

I had not thought about how to integrate students of different ages, backgrounds, and abilities into the class until this course. 

Unfortunately, I am required to lecture, but I will attempt to use many examples and tell stories to try to keep people engaged. 

I learned that the use of a pretest can actually help students. They used to give me anxiety as a student, so if I use this tool, I will make sure to present it to reduce anxiety.

I learned that it is encouraged to use a checklist and I am not OCD because I love to use them.

I learned that it is okay to be friendly with the students but not their "pal." I also learned to remember that I am not the smartest one in the room even if I am the instructor.
