Both synchronous and asynchronous methods of exchanging information are available on gaming platforms. In the area of aircraft maintenance, iPads are used at flight line areas for documenting work done and certification of legality/airworthiness. I will show the relevance of using Teams for example when aircraft technicians needed to share the location of an aircraft maintenance manual document to reference a type of work accomplished to another technician stationed at a different ramp.

Correspondence courses are the bedrock of nontraditional learning in regard to today's online learning. The first known correspondence course was taught in the 1700's. Because e learning has grown more sophistication, it is part of the higher learning institutions at a 21 percent rate and 6 percent rate. No doubt the Covid pandemic taught the educational world the benefits of quality online education. Online courses include structural integrity, navigational simplicity, active learner-centered learning and intellectual interaction.

I enjoy that an instructor can use creativity in order to make the class environment safe and interesting

Student-centered learning incorporates intuitive abilities. Emotional Intelligence is a must for instructors. It is okay to make mistakes, be human. It is okay to show the students that we as humans can not possibly know everything.

There are both formal and informal ways to communicate with students. While always remaining professional, the instructor can develop a good rapport with students by conducting informal teaching sessions.

Words can make or break a person, moment, reputation or they can encourage, motivate and heal. My language is mostly encouraging and patience is a virtue. That is not a cop out to be lenient. No reacting to provoking, taunting and bizarre comments shows confidence, maturity and the ability to retain control of any situation. Organization and educational talents go hand in hand to be effective.

In choosing an evaluation method for students, we are to consider the importance of the students' ability to grasp the new concepts that were given. Personally I like more objective types of measurement like clear multiple choice questions

Asking questions that are planned, directed to individual students, followed by silence, containing repeated and reinforced answers, asking more questions to build on the discussion and are above the recall level will provide effective measurement of learning.

I learned that the Alpha Generation relies much more on technology than other generations. I think using gamification concepts will greatly increase engagement.

The first 5-10 minutes of the class set the tone of the course. By first starting with an activity, it promotes active learning and involves the students. Using the List of five and sentence stems provide unique learning opportunities. Another activity is to create resumes or business cards. In lecturing using a guided discussion 20-25 min in length is most helpful. Otherwise too  much lecturing creates passivity. It is important to review topics before moving on.
