I learned that learning your institutions regulations and requirements is important because as one of the first people who a student reaches out to for information you have to make sure that all of the information that you are giving the student is correct.

I learned that we really have to know how much tuition and fees are. An exact number we can not just say whatever number we want. It is important to know how much each program and give that information to the student so that they are prepared to pay an/or make a plan on how they will pay the school.

I learned that it is crucial to learn and keep up with information on admissions, credit transfer and the different programs the school has to offer! You have to be honest to the student and you can not lie to them just to make the school seem like it is the best fit for them.

Gathering and updating our notebooks is very important. Attending trainings is also very important because things are often changing.

I learned that providing students with the correct information is super important and it is our job to stay informed so that we can answer all of the students questions and help them navigate there school life and get them settled in the right program.

I learned how important it is to study the different requirements for each student although some might be the same such a High School diploma, or a GED but for each programs some will be different! Also staying organized and knowledgeable.

I learned that there are many rules, regulations and policies while working in admissions in Florida. The importance of keeping up to date in order to help students make the correct decision for their future career.
