I try to do this for every new class. I like that we are expanding on it. That was really helpful

This is something I strongly agree with. I make it a point to try to know my students. This makes it easier to keep them interested because I can identify something in their life that will benefit from them graduating. 

Students like someone who is prepared.

Keep the energy up. Students will notice

Keep students motivated by sharing experience and show them you really love what you do

If you enjoy the curriculum they will enjoy it, for the most part. "Like what you do and you'll never work a day in your life".

Learning should be fun and informative. Letting students in on my funny moments will help them understand it happens to everyone. I'm the same as them, just with more experience

Communication and understanding is key. Knowing more about background and learning styles is something I'm working on.
