There are different types of learners. It is important to incorporate different learning styles: visual, kinesthetic, and/or aural. 

Incorporate bloom's taxonomy in teaching.

Active learning with group activities are helpful to facilitate learning. 

Active learning enhances understanding and develops critical thinking. 

Mistakes can happen; important to own up to the mistake and can use humor!

Always observe or monitor from the beginning until the end of class. 

Group activities are helpful to give each student a chance to contribute. 

The importance of going through each section of the syllabus to students at the beginning of class to set the tone.
