Activity

I learn the definition of asynchronous and synchronous.  I think whether you are teaching online or face-to-face it is always important to make sure that all your students are active.  Some students are going to be shy and more reluctant but find a way to get them to engage in the conversation.  I have found online these students are more likely to share than in an oral setting.

This is very interesting to me.  I have taught in the online environment for the past 11 years.  I feel very comfortable in the feedback area.  I give feedback to many students on all their writing assignments and try to provide a lot of feedback in order to improve their writing over the semester.  Where I have fallen short is in the relationship building in the online course.  I first saw this when my daughter was taking an online course when she was to submit a bio.  I have thought about it but haven't done it and I know how… >>>

The online learning environment is changing daily.  Recently we have had more participants join into this platform with the shelter in place orders.  As instructors, our clientele is going to change just as it did for the college professor when more and more students began to attend college.  More people will begin to take courses online than ever before.  Instructors will now spend more time explaining CMS systems than ever before.  Orientation and Communication with high expectations will be critical to the success of all courses.
