I agree.  Too many teachers forget what it's like to be a student, and lose touch with how there information is delivered.  I would like to see more of this kind of training.

i found this to be informative about the changes the educational system is making to reach todays student.  i found it to be eye opening in the video at the end that the educational system is trying to reach students where they are, and not requiring them to just adjust to our way of teaching.  That will probably reach more students.

I have never heard of these teachings before.  I found it to be very helpful, and informative.  The world has changed a lot since I was a student, and this type of training actually made my job easier.  Thank you.

W.I.F.M. What's in it for me. When teaching anything always tell them whats in it for them. Why it's important. How it applies to thier daily life. At this point you'll get the buy in you need from them for the rest of the material you've yet to present.

Wow. this was a great one. Most teachers teach the way they learn. This does not always work out so good, because some students get left behind. Learning to teach to all four styles listed helped me focus on how to better convey the information.

The best way to motivate my students is to present information that will directly benefit them one their first job. This is powerful because they want to do well, and want to know that all of the effort and sacrifice will one day be worth it.
when teaching I find it's hard for the student to sit their for 6 hours and not lose focus. Coming up with learning activities like games, tours of equipment, or making the class get up and shift the right every 9 minutes.....keeps them guessing, awake, and paticipating.
I have found that it is vital to change up your cadence when speaking to a group so you don't cause them to tune out. weather it is a stategic pause or getting loud an then soft.
Your preparedness will directly determine your success. This is a great way to modle how to succeed for our students.
