Different style questions are needed to see mastery of lessons. Wording of the questions can make the question easier or harder to answer. Some questions that are not thought out can be answered by simply using prior knowledge and not what was taught in a lesson.

I don't remember doing analogies in school so when I took the Millers Analogy test I was not prepared.

Effective teachers need well thought out questions for students. I have always liked using student response and ask addition questions that build on to their response for others to chime in.

I use technology in my classroom but I am also a Net Generation instructor. I had never heard that term but I have heard the term Baby Boomer.

I like the idea of having a flipped classroom. It allows more time for classroom or group discussions.

I am glad there is learning apps and options for students with learning disabilities.

All people can be intelligent in their own way. Accommodations and modifications can assist people with disabilities to be success but yet complete tasks.

I did not realize the many different learning disabilities. Many students have these behaviors that have not been diagnosed.

I understand the importance of the steps it takes to be able to read.

Being prepared is best practice.

Don't talk down to students or make them feel like a failure.

Always be over prepared so students stay active.

I learned that being a good listener instead of a good responder is what many students need. They want to be heard and instructors need to do what is right for the student.

Don't look at the student as the problem. Talk with student to help them work through things they may be going through. Multiple strategies can be used to address difficult students.
