@Kate We offer a free counseling service for our students, too. It also offers useful information about life issues for all students. We have found when students participate, they are more likely to use the service when they are facing some type of true crisis/distress.

As educators, we face many of the same challenges regarding student retention. The course was very timely for me as we are in the process of researching campus wide customer service training. Our retention task force is actively assessing our strategies and launching new initiatives.

Retention needs to be an ongoing priority. Every student interaction helps or hurts the school's retention.

Brandon, I, too, enjoyed the course. I liked using the center stage student as an observer. I tried it - it worked. I also plan to use the "use-it-wisely" cards.
