Entrance and exit counseling sessions are critical for educating students on loan repayment options and responsibilities. It’s vital to differentiate between deferment and forbearance and ensure that all information is conveyed in an accessible manner. Additionally, each interaction with students should be seen as an opportunity to reinforce this knowledge, helping to prevent default and support their financial success.
