The syllabus we use is dictated by the University.  I can't change the fonts.  

I think I did the colored paper thing with a syllabus 10 years ago.  5 years ago I started just printing the learning objectives and grade weights.  I quizzed the students on the honor code and other policies and if they knew them we didn't waste valuable time.  Today I save the paper and the trees and my students know where they can get the syllabus online.  (For the skeptics ... it is right at the top of the course and kinda in your way… >>>
