This is my second year as an instructor and I have learned quite a few strategies from ED101 course. I am excited about the upcoming classes I will be teaching and I will definitely be incorporating some of the strategies that I learned. As a new instructor, only having a year of teaching experience, I have learned that planning and preparation is not only for the students, but it's for the instructor as well. It helps you to be more organized with your delivery, makes you seem more professional and competent, and it keeps the students busy and occupied for the full length of the class time. It is always best to overplan than underplan because students may finish an assignment or activity much sooner than expected. Hi all! This course contained a lot of information that I was not privy to. After completing the couse, I feel well informed about federal and state regulations and guidelines, as well as certain policies and requirements and no-nos that I was unaware of. However, as an English Instructor, I didn't completely understand why I had to take such an in-depth course. The information that I learned seemed geared towared the administration department and the financial aid department.
