I like to self-disclose in online classroom discussions because it helps students see the human behind the computer screen. Creating an environment that commits to success and builds rapport.

The most important thing I have learned in being an educator using LMS systems is patience and understanding. Not all students come in with the same insights and technological experience. I do believe that online education will continue to grow in the future.

The COVID pandemic accelerated a new segment of the online education marketplace. The post-pandemic online learner when compared to post-traditional learners, tends to be younger, unemployed or part-time employed, undergraduate degree seekers, and motivated to begin a career, not advance one. Online engagement is critical to these types of learners.

Working alliances are the professional relationships between students and administrative personal. It is the process that involves the establishment of rapport, trust, and a mutual agreement about goals and action plans. Building strong working alliances with online students is fundamental to increasing positive student outcomes. Building rapport with your students is am essential strategy to online learning.
