Be honest and transparent at all times.

As of today they're getting rid of the department of education, so not sure how long any of these regulations will be in place.  Hopefully they are still maintained, as education is the entrance of opportunity.

It's extremely important to set clear expectations, timelines, due dates and give multiple reminders along the way, while recognizing this is still adult education.

It's impotant to familiarize yourself with all types of technology, as they are all useful tools. 

Keep open communication with your class.  Especially while detailing your expectations professionally.

Students are really gravitating towards technology, so it needs to be implicated more in the learning environment.

Knowing your students and what's going on in their lives helps you understand what they're dealing with outside of school.

Blogs are a great way to promote another form of classroom engagement.

I need to familiarize myself with texting abbreviations due to character limits.

I learned about new media sites that I was previously unaware of.  I'd like to introduce it into my class - after making sure I'm complying with copyright laws.  I also think it's important to use media sources, as the younger generation are very tech savy and I think it will draw their attention into the material more.
