There are definitely challenges to online teaching. It is a good reminder of how our students learn and will behave in different ways relating to the online experience. As instructor, it is my job to alleviate feelings of alienation, try to help remind them of the goals they have set out to achieve and help them with any technical issues they may experience in order for them to be successful.

One of the key ways to engage the students in the online learning process is through discussion. It is important to encourage participation so that you are getting feedback as to how the students are learning and give them feedback to further their understanding of the materials.

The biography of each student and from myself will help serve as a platform for all of us to get to know each other, which helps bridge a bond when we are all using online only learning.

To ensure success with e-learning and eleviate frustration to the students, I as an instructor, need to become very familiar with the technology that we are going to be using to teach the students. There will always be variables when it comes to computer access, but knowing where to find the IT support and do it in a timely manner are extremely important. I am going to do my best to stay up to date on what I need to do, online, to give my students the best chance of learning all the material that they need to know.
