Thank you, Valencia. What factors would make you decide that a face-to-face discussion is more appropriate than email?

Thanks, Christopher. What are the specific things you consider when establishing levels of priority?
Thanks, William. There is typically a positive impact on retention when students have a "go to" staff member that works with them throughout their programs. How do you handle these relationships when you have staff changes?
Thank you, Donna. Librarians can play a very big role in the success of a school's retention program. Good librarians provide a level of non-threatening support that many students need. They see Librarians like you as a go to resource who has no agenda except to help them be successful. I have seen Librarians work with faculty teams to develop "standard" practices for written assignments in their schools. Once everyone follows these practices, the Librarians can provide assistance certain to align with what teachers expect.
Thank you, Tenisha. Those are great HABEs for students to have. What are some specific things you do to help develop these two HABEs in the students who do not already have them when they get to your class?
