Having a strong code of ethics will help a school maintain compliance. In addition to federal guidelines you must follow those of the relevant state agencies as well. 

It is important to be transparent and honest in all advertising and social media.  Catalogs must be provided to all enrolled students and contain each requirement from your licensing state. 

It is important to be truthful in all aspects of student recruiting. Full transparency is paramount and never over promise. 

Doing the right thing is good for everybody, especially students who should always be our focus. 

This unit continues the theme of interacting professionally with the visitor. Do not argue and listen carefully during the exit interviews. If there is a disagreement you will have an avenue for appeal. 

It is important for the right people to speak with the interviewer and it is ok to say "I do not know" but let me direct you to the person that knows that answer. 

It is important to keep your campus visitor ready and have a space available for them to work during the visit.  Ensure the area is clean and comfortable for the visitor. 

Institutions should be prepared for unannounced visits and have important documents available for review. Institutions should welcome the onsite visitors who are often in similar roles at other institutions.
