I think that all parts of a business are equally important, and that when one sector is failing it hurts others. One of the most important is how we treat students, and what resources are available to them to make their lives easier but accomodating.

I also agree. I use to be a student once, so it would definately help me if someone else understood what I was going through, and better if that person knew some helpful ways to relieve that stress.

Just a very easy tip. Remembering names actually helps students participate. Not remembering names makes a student feel anonymous, or that there is no personal attention. Remembering names makes them liable to participate.

Tips and steps to consider to get students to engage and participate.

I think that in any business there is a consumer, and a product or service. Although not so obvious, students are the consumers of the school, and without them the school will not succeed; therefore, it's essential to do, under feasible circumstances, what the consumer wants, and this means understanding how they feel, how they shop, etc. Focusing business around the consumer is a win-win for both sides.

One way we motivate students is to provide them with a broad education that allows them to see the many facets of their educational endeavor. I believe this will motivate them once they find a set path, as I think that finding the right field for anyone is sometimes hard to acheive and does take some time. We often check on everyone from time to time to see how things are going in the classroom and out.
