Activity

DAHLIA, Thank you for posting! When asking questions, it's important to consider what you are going to do with the answer to that question. Further, making sure it's stated in a positive way! Given that, do you see any questions you ask that could be framed more positively? Dr. Jean Norris
Angela, It's sounds like a really collaborative work environment. However, if no one is responsible, who makes sure the new ideas are implemented? Dr. Jean Norris
Angela, Excellent awareness! It's great to be able to adapt. Dr. Jean Norris
Mandy, Interesting! What if the student doesn't need to see the campus? What if they simply just want the cost? Do you give it to them? What does that discussion look like? Dr. Jean Norris
Discussion Comment
Theodore, Interesting! Have you seen a difference with responses from the various time frames of follow-up? Dr. Jean Norris
Theodore, Great approach to offering information on the programs you do not offer. What has been the benefit of this practice for you? Dr. Jean Norris
Theodore, You have chosen great tools to use to combat your challenges, nicely done. How do your students currently respond to the way you are discussing tuition? Dr. Jean Norris
Theodore, Very cool. I'm curious though, how do you know if that benefit is important to the student? What type of conversation to you have with the student to see if it's important to them? Dr. Jean Norris
Thank you for your insightful posts, Theodore. You hit the nail on the head with your tactics on the phone with the telephone interview. Nicely done, as well, with the tour. "Painting a picture" is great for those that are truly visual learners. What if you have a student that is more auditory (needs to hear it to believe it), or kinesthetic (needs to touch it/experience it to learn it)? How do you inform them of the student-customer experience and resources? Dr. Jean Norris
Theodore, Great awareness! Turning off that external noise and truly being in the moment will help you help your student. Consider what the student could be saying to you while you are off being distracted! Could they be telling you exactly what they need in order to start at your institution? Dr. Jean Norris
