We see a range of student abilities in handling computers.  It is smart to ensure we can slow down enough to teach these skills to entire classes.  We frequently have to start at the beginiing of logging in and then really differentiate based on each students confidence with technology.  We have alsoo incorporated students cell phones and social media to show off their achievements in class.  These are skills that will not only be useful in their professional lifes but also foster healthy social media usage.

I encourage lifelong learning by finding out what interests them about my subject and then applying it not just to them but the entire class.  The students feel ownership of thhese parts of the class and take thhat moving forward.  As they feel ownership they start to see it in the other students which creates positivity and teamwork with each other.  It opens up lines of communication for students that would not have been there before, especially for students that are quieter or less sure of themselves.

Building a strong sense of teamwork among a clas is vital.  Especially if you are teaching a class that students are together for multiple years hours class hours.  Teaching students to be aware of all aspects of communication and verbal/nonverbal cues is also a key aspect that employers are searching for from todays students.

I would like to incorporate more writing at the end of units that would be inquiry based so the students can guide their learning through what interests them about the subject we just covered.  This could really serve as a useful tool moving forward to enhance lesons to ensure student interest and buy-in to content.

I enjoyed the part about creativity being fostered more through effective problem solving.
