I really enjoy reading the different scenarios in this section- it allows you to get a better idea of how to handle a situation if and when you have a student with a disability. Creating an accessible online environment is important for all learners and this explains how to recognize your student's needs before/ during your course.

Several reasons why I should evaluate a course are to improve student learning experiences and to improve the curriculum. Student learning experience is needed to be evaluated- to make sure all learning styles are addressed and implemented in the course work.

Providing meaningful feedback is essential to learners. Formal feedback is provided in conjunction with a rubric and more detail. Its purpose is to provide information to increase the knowledge and skills of the learner instead of your comments used to justify your grade.

Effective communication is essential to online learners. As instructors, we must find accountable ways for learners to communicate their ideas of each lesson being taught. Participation points and encouraging collaboration with their peers are a few ways to help build the knowledge and skills of a learner.

My take away is consistency is key in building your online course. I have experienced a course where the objectives were not aligned with the lesson and expectations were not fully established- it had too many gray areas with assignment directions.
