Keeping records and locate and retrieve them, stay organized. Behavior management of quiet, disruptive , noisy, intimidating or procrastinators required monitoring of students and redirect to improve performance, or refer for further attention. 

Projecting the proper tone and response during feedback can be a challenge . Can't we actually talk to our students?

Being an effective educator, it is vital to know your students' background .  They will be able to better relate to the instructor if they share their story with students. 

Learning challenges are an important piece of information in the teaching process in order to understand the students' needs. Using a variety of teaching methods can enhance learning.

Planning, preparation ,professionalism and punctuality will enhance the process as well as show your students how to prepare for their future in healthcare.

Greeting at the door, introduction and settling in on the first day will decrease student apprehension.

Successful instruction and learning leads with a plan to accomplish goals. Learning objective set a plan in motion.

Adult learners are "doers rather than thinkers" is an important concept in motivating and promoting autonomy. As a clinical instructor, I would pair up an adult learner with a young learner to promote both.

Students at all levels need to be heard and have their needs met. Bringing in personal anecdotes from the instructors' past will

allow students to understand concepts in a meaningful way. Each day should start on a positive note to enhance the learning process. 

Instruction of our students begins with preparation, professionalism, and empathy. I myself had been an adult learner, so I can relate to this population of students. I look forward to the journey of encouraging our young and adult students as we learn together.
