I learned the importance of taking into consideration the native (mother) tongue of the learners in an effort to enhance the learning experience.

I learned the importance of why intercultural communication is important for instuctors and how if used correctly it will not eliminate any students.

I've learned how important it is not to sterotype when interacting with my students.

I learned how to actively engage students while helping them with their learning process. 

I learned to get the students familiar with myself and each other it's good to utilize ice breakers.

I learned that teachers are models and the importance of acting in a professional manner in order to give students a clear picture/example of what is expected of them.
