Get to know your students. Make sure they know you are there to support them and have a fun class, don't make it a miserable learning experience

Every new class I start I will introduce myself and have them go around and do the same. I learn all about them as a person and there goals. I also like to meet with students one on one to just talk and see why they joined the course and talk more on a personal level so they know i am here to support them.
