About me

Happy Labor Day, I am using my holiday to get ahead! That is the nerd in me... I chose to participate in this lesson because I want to better understand my students. I am an LMT and an instructor I love the human body and I love the fact that massage has so much to do with more than just the body. I have been called the real life Ms. Frizzel I love that I do believe that getting messing and making mistakes can be a way to learn. I like music and movement and understanding how and why things function as they do. I am privileged to now instruct a class titled Professional Development & Customer Service! I am Excited, I get an opportunity to speak on something I am most passionate about.

MIchael, I find that an amazing question, I will have to say that I find the cultural differences to be more fascinating. Having had students that range from 18-68... I find that a person not (speaking) or interacting to not be a negative because some listen more and have input at a later time. Whereas the students with cultural differences and learning styles bring a total differnet view to whatever it is we are discussing.

I appreciate the opportunity to learn how to interact with all types of students with many different learning styles!

This course is amazing!!!! I do not regret taking this course if fact I will take this again and again because it is a very important aspect to my future as well as the future of my students.
Figuring out how to 'marry' the different generations is a major point that will make educating our society stronger. Thank you Ryan for putting this together it was not an wasy feat!

I have had an idea about a game... I went to the Parent/Teacher store and bought two dice... (the foam kind). I have 6 subjects.. one for each side of the die... 1. All about bones, 2. Let's move & regions, 3. All about the systems, 4. What's Right or Wrong, 5. Random ?'s, 6. Actions... Once a set of questions have been exhausted I go to muscle quesitons... the students choose teams (or I do) and I give about 30 seconds to correctly answer gaining a point for spa bucks! If anyone has any additional suggestions to better this LET ME KNOW!!!!

I have seen some of these activities and I have to say I am excited to introduce a few more that I have just now seen... my question is how to engage a student who may either be tired (working long hours) or that feels this is very elementary for adults?
