From this module, I learned that storytelling is most effective when it is intentional, purposeful, and connected to learners’ real experiences. When used well, it increases engagement, focus, and reflection. I plan to apply this by using storytelling more deliberately to frame learning, clarify complex ideas, and invite learners to connect content to their own experiences, helping them take greater ownership of their learning.

I’ve learned that good storytelling in learning is intentional and grounded in real experiences. Effective stories have a clear purpose, connect content to lived experiences, and invite learners to reflect, make choices, and see themselves in the narrative. Coming from Colombian cultural roots, where storytelling is often oral and community-based, I see how stories naturally create connection, belonging, and deeper engagement.

I plan to apply this by using storytelling more intentionally as an entry point to learning—framing lessons, introducing complex topics, and inviting students to connect their own experiences to the content. I’m also interested in how storytelling can support… >>>

How can rubrics be used in Standad based-grading 

This course has been helpfu and it made me think of the importnace of teacher speakers of other languages. I am a native Spanish and I have taught English and Spanish for several years. Teaching ESL is a rewarding experience because learners feel empowered when they are able to communicate and to be independent.
