I will be adding storytelling to my lessons in class. They are beneficial to students.

Storytelling allows me to connect to students and provide them with real life examples. sharing experience with students shows them you are human and can relate.

Storytelling can encourage students to participate in class discussion and explore certain topics that are being taught. It can help students retain new information and prepare for nursing school clinicals and exams. 

Lesson planning is key and there are multiple learning styles to account for. 

I learned the importance of a first class meeting and the it really is the little things that students appreciate.

I have learned with planning and preparation it is very important and vital for instructors prior to beginning their class. The syllabus is needed to give help guide students and help them prepare for the school year. This will help students build trust and respect for the instructor. 

In this module I learned that there are multiple strategies and overall various ways of teaching especially for new instructors. I learned students need to hear and see the passion the instructor has for the subject matter along with students knowing that the instructor is there to support them, and provide them with feedback that will aid in their growth.
