Comment on Ray Genova's post: Yes, I have already implemented some of these tools for providing formative and summative assessments in class.

Rubrics are great at helping students learn to follow directions effectively as well.  It's also very important to grade according to the rubric and not throw added expectations after the fact as an instructor.

Comment on Brenda Noel's post: 100% agree

Comment on Michael Leger's post: If those are online, we have to have a way to ensure the integrity of those assessments as well.

I will often utilize AI to make quizzes and even games based on the material I am covering.

Comment on David Sterling's post: I try to tell my students this all the time.  If they are utilizing AI, be sure they are checking it, because AI will make things up or base it's decisions on wrong information sometimes.

Comment on Alfredo Estrada Merino's post: Yes.  If we use AI to HELP us it is a great tool.  If we use it to DO THINGS FOR US, it can be a great hinderance to learning.

Just like instructors using AI to supplement what we are doing, students can do the same.  If either of us are misusing AI, it can quickly move from helpful to harmful.

Comment on David Sterling's post: Exactly!  I have already implemented AI to help with grading feedback.  Sometimes it catches things that I did not and will word the feedback in a much more constructive manner than I would have.  Using it to supplement what I am doing and almost like a second set of eyes has been very helpful.

Comment on Sara Almeida's post: Yes, utilizing AI tools can catch things that we may overlook.  I will often have AI look at students' work after I do and then consider it's feedback as I am grading.
