How effective can instructional assessment techniques are in the online or distant education environment? I encountered huge challenges  to maintain instructional quality in the online environment. 

I agree. Having different learning techniques such as short videos, helps students learn from real situations and maintain them motivated and focused on the class.

As academic instructors, we are responsible for teaching and motivating students. In my opinion best attitudes and actions as teachers and role models includes being genuinely caring and kind. Always available for the students and willing to be present and professional.
