It is important to keep students engaged through relationship building that include listening and timely feedback.  

Wether involved in synchronous or asynchronous teaching expectations must be discussed and students must be able to understand where and how to access information in the course. Communication between instructor and student must be often.

Tools for online learning must be appropriate and fit both the instructor and student learning/teaching needs.  

In this module I learned that "closing the loop" will require feedback by multiple stakeholders using a variety of tools and includes both qualitative and quantitative data.

Assessments (formative/summative/self/peer) are essential components to focus on what student understands or needs imporvement with and the use of Rubrics allow the student to know expectations of assignment.  I will apply all of the above to my courses as this will assist me in properly faciliting student learning.

The Eight tasks of scaffolding are important to help facilitate student learning and will present sucessful if good communication is a core element withing the learning community.

A very important takeawary inludes the objectives that need to be met when developing a course framework:

1.  How will the content be delivered. 2. How will the student receive the content. 3.  How will the student be assessed in their knowledge but most importantly - Analyze your audience.
