I must attend meetings, ask other coworkers, and regularly read information given out by the institution to stay updated on the state's and institution's policies and regulations. Considering these are always changing, its important to ensure I have the most up-to-date information. 

I have learned how incredibly important it is to keep in touch with other staff in order to stay updated, in-order to be able to relay accurate information to prospective students. Having knowledge about your institution, such as what sort of student services are offered, can make it much easier for students to decide if the institution is right for them. Not to mention, there are incredibly strict rules on what is, and is not allowed in advertising/marketing for the institution. 

Having a student folder with an organized list of questions and information pertaining to the particular student, including the program they are interested in, will help to ensure my institution is a good fit for the student, and vice versa. The admissions process can be long and difficult, but staying organized and guaranteeing you have the most updated and correct information can be the difference between success and struggle. After completing the first portion of this training program, I learned that as an admission's representative, it is incredibly important to stay up to date with the ever-changing rules and regulations set forth by the state of Florida to continuously provide the most accurate information about my institution. Having an up-to-date school catalog, as well as an updated notebook with helpful tips and notes, can help me to provide prospective students with the information they need to decide if my institution is the best fit for them.
