I learned that it is important to find time in the classroom, especially with my High School Seniors, to discuss and expose students to soft skills and the importance of them in their development.  

Robert Gagne challenged instructors to ensure that all students learn, regardless of their learning style dominance. 

I gained perspective on how biology and genetics shape how your brain processes information. 

Carl Rogers suggested that students control and direct learning. 

I learned that Havighurst recognized the adjustments humans make as they gain age and experiences.  

Adult learners are motivated by context of their life experiences.  

In holistic assessment, rubrics are essential.  Rubrics communicate expected requirements to show required skills, knowledge, demonstration, and competency. 

In this lesson I learned that psychologists say that authentic people share common traits that display they are psychologically mature and fully functioning human beings. 

In this lesson I learned the importance of motivation in education and how motivation is what moves humans forward and into action. 

In this lesson I have learned that when a student practices metacognition, this helps them make a greater life experience and aids their achieving at higher levels.
