It was a good reminder that there are different types of understanding and application. Remembering is different from creating.

Feedback is with and for a student. It is not something that we do to a student.

Allowing students to use an alias may improve participation in online communities. I'm not sure if that is possible in Canvas?

It's a good idea to create a learning objects database. That way, I can recycle items.

The student type labels were informative. I have had an "intimidator" in my class before. I had to share the grading scale and say that I would use that as the measuring stick.

Synchronous discussions are best 1 on 1. 

Asynchronous discussions allow everyone to participate without having the conversation dominated by fast typers.

 

It is important to share my credentials and experience with the students to gain their trust.

There are many checklist items that need to be completed to make sure a quality experience is provided to students. For example, tasks and meeting times need to be placed on the calendar.
