The importance of a well balanced assessment throughout a course is a much fairer way to grade.

The strategies mentioned are not only good for ELL learners, but for all learners.

There is a lot of pressure on ELL students, particularly in a large group setting.

Teachers need to realize that reaching ELL students can take time.

Cultural compenency to me is an attitude of acceptance, and by recognizing differences among students you may then capitalize on it to improve learning.
