Their are many different learning styles such as written word, auditory, visualization, and tactile. Adding different delivery methods will cover the different learning styles the students have. 

On the first day of class, arrive early to great students as they enter the classroom. This helps to get to know the students and their habits. Introduce yourself by saying a little bit about yourself and your experience. By the end of the class, the students should have a good sense of the class and their ability to succeed. 

I have learned that as an instructor, I should lay out the objectives for the day so that the students know what is expected of them. Audience, behavior, condition, and degree must all be taken into account when creating objectives. 

I have learned that there are 3 major rolls an instructor plays. Model, manager, motivator. As a model, you have to show, not tell. As a manager, all aspects of the class must be student ready. As a motivator, you have to keep up the encouragement by reminding them how far they've come.
