Activity

Utilizing the student engagement tools with verbal and nonverbal cues. Including pauses to monitor and observe the entire class dynamic. It is a constant need to evaluate our students and their struggles or successes.

Forming groups based on student diversity. Over time I had been forming groups just solely based on experience but it is true to include backgrounds and leadership qualities. This will change the overall dynamic of the group and be more beneficial to them. 

 

In this lesson, I have learned how to engage my students in the classroom more. Key things such as moving around/floating in the classroom to redirect and get their attention, pausing for 3-5 seconds to let the brain think. I plan on smiling, and using nonverbal cues more to provide a learning environment for the students.
