I agree with taking ownership of our responsibility as an instructor.

As an instructor, I need to understand school policies and procedures in order to create an acceptable learning environment for the student's success.

I have learned about the importance of the Triad of Regulation. We need this to help insure our student's success. 

We need to have a culture of compliance by holding to the highest standard and being transparent. We need to have a culture of respect.

I learned that it is important to be organized and detailed in your record keeping. You also need to be diligent in your communication with the students. Helping them with counseling, dealing with behavioral situations and keeping the student attrition to a minimum.

Every student has a different learning style. These must be considered when having discussions. The asynchronized discussions would allow for students to take their time as they post. It will help them learn from one another.

I learned that it is important for the students to learn about the instructor and the instructor to learn about the students. This can be accomplished through a brief bio. Credentials, work history and what is your expectation of the class could be things that are listed.

It is important to know the aspects of the CMS - Course Management System. Know how the information is delivered and set boundries and expectations so that the students will have an understanding of what is required.
