I learned that sometimes you must dismiss a student from class if they are being disruptive and hindering other students learning opportunitie.  Also, that students are most often tempted to cheat when they have an opportunity. 

I learned some techniques on how to keep students engaged such as note cards and asking probing questions.  Other techniques to keep them interested include inviting speakers and even offering virutal tours. 

I learned that most students say they miss submitting assignments because they were unaware of the due date.  Thus, putting the assignment dates/times in the syllabus is a good way to have students be reminded of deadlines and to refer back at different times to stay organized and up to date with submission requirements.
