Activity

Good to plan ahead and get the agenda out early. Keep distractions at a minimum. A large group can't make decisions.

formative revisons can be done while course is in session, summative take longer and should be done at end of course. I like the odea of a course repository for old documents o be able to reus ethem later.

While its important to five frequent, consostent feedback, the instructor should not respond to each student's post. They need to be able to discuss freely among themselves. My role is to mintor and steer in right direction. Could post a group feedback response.

Being organized and letting students know up front what your expectations are is very important. Frequent communication increases one's online presence. Social nteraction is very important among students.

Workload is affected by several factors such as course content, the learning platform used, insrtuctors tech skills, length of the course and teaching ability. Developing strategies can help reduce workload to free up time for studet support and contact.

I have learned that it takes more of an effort to keep online students motivated since they're not interacting as much as they would if in a classroom with others. Motivation can make the class more interesting for the student and prevent procrastination. Since these students are often balancing many out responsibilities, frequent reminders of upcoming assignments and timely feedback can be very helpful in keeping them focused and motivated.
