This module showed me how FERPA is important to students' access to their own records. This has allowed me to become familiar with their rights in that regard, which is vital to students maintaining their autonomy and privacy.
I have learned how to take and analyze the requirements of staying FERPA compliant. In doing so, I will be able to safeguard my students' privacy and the institution's integrity.

While I am familiar with Title IX, I had not heard of VAWA before, and so this lesson has taught me the key differences between the two, as well as their individual importance.
