Everyone learns and processes information differently. I learned as an educator it is important to multiple or even a holistic approach  when evaluating students knowledge/retention of information.

Through this section I learned that language and literacy are not the same thing and that ones ability to communicate verbally verses through writing  can vary greatly.

Culture and race are not the same but help to shape how individuals views themselves and others around them. It is most important to treat others with respect and understanding.
