Comment on Francisco Gonzalez's post: I agree, if you are a seasoned nurse, we take for granted we had to learn this skill also. Encouraging students to think outside the box, use the critical thinking they already possess, boost their confidence.
I think writing is a dying art. The rubric is a great tools to set the exspections for the writen assignments and shows the students where they fall short of the mark.
Good review.
Increasing their use & complexity of critical thinking will assist them when they get their first nursing job.
