Rubrics should be made fair and weighted reasonably for the components of the assignments.

Rubrics provide a useful for students to provide useful feedback to their peers. It also allow instructors to access their understanding of the material.

After reading the material rubrics help to provide structure and guidance for students. It would minimize the uncertainty related to what is expected and allow them to finish their assignments with more confidence in knowing they are meeting the expectations of the assignments

This was an great reminder of why we use FERPA and how it keeps the student's information safe.

Comment on jose carrillo's post: The training was informative and I will be more aware of guidelines we must follow.

I encourage critical thinking in several parts of my class by providing stimulating questions, and scenarios that require them to use the information we have discussed. I often add something that shifts the scenario to an area that is not so easily addressed. I like encouraging critical thought because it is pertinent in our field as we work with other staff and patients to provide the best ideas to improve their outcomes.

This was a really good learning experience. I ask a lot of questions now I see how to ask the questions better. Really good forum.

I find these to be some much need strategies at this time for me. I have a group of students that are not that much in to participation and this seems to be a good way to get them to open up and actually learn some things at the same time. Look forward to incorporating some of these soon.
