About me

I am an Education Advisor/Consultant for MaxKnowledge. I write courses that assist in the professional development of career college instructors. These courses range in content from the introductory level to advanced instructional development. I started my teaching career as an instructional technology teacher on the high school level, completed graduate school and then moved into higher education. I spent many years in the area of teacher training at the University of Nebraska. While at the University of Nebraska I stared working with career college instructors to improve their instructional delivery skills. As a result of these experiences I have been a consultant to career colleges throughout the United States and a number of foreign countries.

We are pulled in many different ways and expected to have the answers to each question each time we meet the class. Teaching is a great profession but it does take effort to become proficient at it. Bret, This environment things really contribute to the subtle learning process so experiment with them and see which ones are most effective with your students. Gary Dr. Gary Meers
Paulette, Students really enjoy hearing these stories. The information shared give them insight as to how their instructor has acquired his/her experience while showing them how hard work and effort and put them in the same position. Gary Dr. Gary Meers
Venusa, Learners crave order but desire variety. Sounds like a complex order but it really isn't. By offering different learning opportunities, change of pace and critical thinking skill development the students will expand their knowledge and skill sets in a way that moves them closer to their career goals.
