About me

I am an Education Advisor/Consultant for MaxKnowledge. I write courses that assist in the professional development of career college instructors. These courses range in content from the introductory level to advanced instructional development. I started my teaching career as an instructional technology teacher on the high school level, completed graduate school and then moved into higher education. I spent many years in the area of teacher training at the University of Nebraska. While at the University of Nebraska I stared working with career college instructors to improve their instructional delivery skills. As a result of these experiences I have been a consultant to career colleges throughout the United States and a number of foreign countries.

Holly, This is a good way to help them with their problem solving skill development. I use case studies a lot in my courses for these reason. They give the students a lot of different experiences and exposures in a short amount of time. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Sean, These stories are so important because they serve the purpose of connecting the course content with students' career development. They also reinforce that acquiring the knowledge and skill of the field does take time and a lot of effort. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Lamarr, Good way to show the progress the have made in the course and to reinforce what they have learned in a practical way. This way they can see both relevancy and application to their career development. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
KIMBERLY, Keeping current is critical if you are going to be living up to the standards of your field. By knowing the latest procedures, technologies, and applications in your field you are showing your students your dedication to not only your field but your dedication to their education.
