While at the University of Nebraska I stared working with career college instructors to improve their instructional delivery skills. As a result of these experiences I have been a consultant to career colleges throughout the United States and a number of foreign countries.

Activity

Jaye, I use them a lot in my classes and they really get students involved. They like to work together to come up with solutions and share why their solutions are the best. Great discussions come out of these case studies. I know you are going to like the results you get from using case studies and/or scenarios. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Jaye, Good point and one that needs to be considered as one approaches a content area like this. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Larry, Discipline is the result of time and effort and many students today do not want to invest in themselves and their future and develop self discipline. You make a very good point and one that needs to be shared repeatedly with students. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.

Billy, Simple and yet highly effective. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Jay, It is the essence of success no matter what we undertake. Students need to see this in their lives. They will not without discipline be able to excel in their careers and discipline takes effort. They need to be willing to invest in themselves and their future. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Jay, This is what a critical thinker should be about. If they follow these steps they will be able to analyze and come up with solutions to diverse problems and situations. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Cynthia, Yes, it does and this is how you bring value to your students. The more applications they can see the more relevance they will associate with the course and your instruction. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
