In this module, I have learned about vital source of information on U.S. copyright concerns is the Copyright Clearance Center. 

In this module I have learned that it is important to include a copyright notice in any written work, intellectual property, and online works such as blogs. I will apply in my next courses a notice that includes my name and the date of the first publication of the work.

In this module, I have learned the seven principles for learning were developed as guidelines for instructors to improve teaching and learning process. I will apply in my courses the seven principles of good practice: (a) encourage contact between students and instructor, (b) develop reciprocity and cooperation among students, (c) encourage active learning, (d) provide prompt feedback, (e) emphasize time on task, (f) communicate high expectations and (g) respect diverse talents and ways of learning.

In this module, you learned that students must have visual and information literacy skills to work effectively. I will apply in my online courses when using social media that I should not assume that students have technological skills.

In this module, I have learned the importance of making sure students understand that not all communication can be accomplished effectively through email. They should have your contact information if they need to communicate orally or face to face when necessary. I will apply effective communication to my courses in my online courses.

In this module, I have learned that all educational institutions must provide reasonable accommodations for their students. In my courses I will accommodate the specific needs of each student.

In this module, I have learned how to use rubrics to assess communication and all assignments or projects. I will apply in my online courses to provide rubrics to my students before any project, assignment, discussion that will be evaluated in the course.

In this module, I have learned to tell students the amount of participation and writing involved in the course and if they need technical knowledge or specific software. I will apply a document in my courses so that students are aware of all the requirements and expectations of the course.

In this module I have learned that, as an instructor, it is important to model the types of communication that will be included in the online course. I will apply in my courses examples of such communication so that students understand what is expected of them.

I have learned using an end-of-course evaluation is an excellent way to obtain feedback from students about the entire communication process. I will apply the evaluation to offer suggestions the next time the course is taught or the next time the technology is used.
